Febuary Cabin Trip

Doug, Barry and Jerry arrived Friday night (in the dark ..for those that need to know).
The only complication getting in was finding moose on the trail who wouldn't get off! First trip in with Jerry we followed a bull calf for 2 km because he wouldn't get off the trail. All the way from the sand flats to the Robinson Lake cutoff.
Then on the return trip to pick up Barry, I  ran into the Mother Moose! and I mean almost RAN into her. It was very dark and I was moving briskly on the snowmobile when there she was. On the trail!  This time the moose wanted by me so we jockeyed a bit before she bolted by me on the sled.

Ryan,Katie,Lyra and Will came in on sleds behind the snowmobile on Saturday for a day of fun.

First trip with Yamaha VMAX 600DX

Barry and I took the Yamaha up for it's first run to the cabin. There was over a foot of new fluffy snow on top of the base so we mostly plowed our way in and across the lake. The Yamaha ran great but don't ever get it stuck!

First Ski Trip 2017

Everyone had big hopes that we would just drive in because most of the snow had melted south of Orillia.
Murray and Bruce arrived first and discovered that Washago was buried in snow. So, they skied in . They used a "Polaris Blowjob" to get Rob's snowmobile started which was stored at the cabin and drove out to pick up Rob.
Doug and Barry made the trip on a "borrowed" snowmobile and arrived after dark...

Weather was great and there was only a skiff of snow on the lake ice.
